Hey, all.
I'm going to take a week-long break. I'll be back on December 26 with a new Boomer nostalgic moment.
You will never see a Flash ad, a popup ad, or a banner ad at I Remember
JFK. What you will see are unobtrusive, friendly text ads. If you get
popups here, the problem is that you have adware or spyware on Microsoft
Windows. I recomment you download and install Ubuntu Linux and enjoy safe, adware-free surfing.
Barring that, install Spybot and Ad-Aware to
kill the bugs.
With that, if you have ad-disabling software such as AdBlock Plus, I
respectfully request that you make an allowance for my website in its
settings. You have my personal guarantee that there is no intrusive
advertising here.

I will never forget when my Father, took me and my brothers Daniel age 11, Ken age 9, and me age 8 to see then Senator John Fritzgerald Kennedy in the fall of 1960, at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck Mich, He was running for President an made a campaign stop there. In the field in front of the stands was a platform, decorated in flag banners and Kennedy for president posters. We were all sitting about 10 rows away when Kennedys motorcade came in. The electricity was like I would never feel again till this day, I am now 55. The Gov of Mich was there at JFK s side while JFK gave his speech, it was short but electrifying, A locomotive on the tracks behind the stadium, slowed and blew his blast horn in a unorthidox way to signal Kennedy in appreciation, it was surrealistic in the glowing stadium lights. Daniel shook JFK,s hand right next to me!!
