They're Baaaaaaaack...Podcasts!

I had an interesting situation arise last week. I was contacted by someone who offered to put me on the radio as an expert in Boomer nostalgia.

As I suspected, they wanted me to cough up money to do so.

Let's get back to basics here: The way this works is that I work, then get paid.

However, the whole incident did remind me that internet users are hungry for sound-bites.

So, I worked to overcome the issues that I had run into two years ago which stopped me from producing podcasts. It turned out that I just needed a new microphone! And here I had assumed that the problems were with Linux drivers for my soundcard.

NEVER doubt Linux!

Anyhow, tomorrow's column will feature its podcast equivalent, and I will be trying to get a podcast out with each new entry.

Enjoy!

My Policy on Advertisements

You will never see a Flash ad, a popup ad, or a banner ad at I Remember JFK. What you will see are unobtrusive, friendly text ads. If you get popups here, the problem is that you have adware or spyware on Microsoft Windows. I recomment you download and install Ubuntu Linux and enjoy safe, adware-free surfing. Barring that, install Spybot and Ad-Aware to kill the bugs.

With that, if you have ad-disabling software such as AdBlock Plus, I respectfully request that you make an allowance for my website in its settings. You have my personal guarantee that there is no intrusive advertising here.
